Task Manager - View -> Update Speed does NOT work

Brass Contributor

This has been present in builds of post-Windows Server 2022 for as long as I can remember. Just installed 25236 fresh from ISO, as I have done many times in the past.

Open Task Manager. Click View, click Update Speed, and change it to anything other than 'Normal.' It does not stick. The setting does not change.

Could someone from Microsoft please reproduce this and acknowledge this bug exists on this build channel?

Thank you. ;)

@Michael Reinders Ever get this resolved, Michael? Having the same issue. I know this is a very old thread.

Actually, no! Even the most recent build, now labeled as Windows Server 2025 (26040), the issue is still present! No, I can't believe this bug is still in there.

I take that back! They finally fixed it. In 26040, changing it to 'Low' sticks.

I am updating to the brand-new 26052. I'll see if it is still working on that build.
In the new 26052 build, it is also resolved. This took years to get fixed. :)
