Hyper-V cluster with Storage Spaces Direct separate Active Directory domain or not?

What does Microsoft recommend, according to the latest security standards, regarding the placement of a Hyper-V cluster with Storage Spaces Direct infrastructure? Should it be in a separate Active Directory domain from user and server devices?
