Windows update issue and installing and updating microsoft store apps

We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet.Contacted microsoft support and they sent me here they think the cause is Windows Insider

Try the following steps if it'll fix the problem

    - Click Start, type Services
    - Scroll down on "Storage Service" and double-click on it
    - Set the startup type to Automatic
    - Click on Start if the status is Stopped
    - Apply and OK then restart the computer
    - Check if it works

If it doesn't, may I know if there is an error code that you encounter?

Please also check the system date and time. Incorrect date and time settings can cause issues with Windows Update.

Try to disable this update and download the most recent version instead.

Make sure you are connected to the internet. Try browsing a website to confirm your connection is stable. If you're using Wi-Fi, consider switching to a wired connection if possible.

Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Find Windows Update and click Run. Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and fix problems.
