Windows update driver problems

this isn't a new problem I'm facing, it happened on windows 10 but whenever I try to install the driver for my gpu I want that is the correct version, windows update will go ahead and install a different one instead witch means I cant use any of the software for my gpu such as relive or anything and I'm getting unbelievably mad. I've already done the standard go to advanced system setting and disable automatic install of drivers through windows update but no luck there. I could really use help if anyone can help me, at this point I'm willing to do anything to get this all figured out
