Windows Insider update fails
Reza_Ameri Thx for following up. I didn't have time to get around to it yet. I will try.
Please try it and tell us about the result.

So I did the clean boot, which bumped me into the login screen.
The login screen did not accept my correct password, nor it lets me enter a pin code. (I have stored my password in a password manager, so I know I'm entering the correct one)
Restart keeps booting into the clean boot.
I ended up with an unusable computer... So the result ? Not so good, I'd say... 😞

Are you connected to the internet?
Are you using any third-party tool for login?- GeneralSanJun 23, 2022Copper Contributor
Sorry.
One question a day, with one answer a day led me to a too long lead time, and I need the machine to work.
I won't be using any insider updates anymore, they, of course, expose me to this kind of risk. And, for the record, I was fully aware of that when I chose it, except for the fact that I wasn't aware at that time I was going to use this laptop for business purposes later on, how could I when it was supposed to be a personal laptop...
That part had changed in time, but I couldn't reverse the insider updates in a known way without re-installing. And I postponed and postponed, until something broke, of course.
Bound to happen at some time I guess, though I must say that by far most updates went without any problems. Superior quality overall, thumbs up. Really. I do make worse software, compared.
But the reinstallation happened, and everything works fine now, though I lack loads of tools and repositories and documents and other stuff. That will be the end of it, though.
So questions like am I using Microsoft Account or not, am I connected to the internet, any third-party tool - they indicate you want to help, but they do come too late, as far as I am concerned, in my every day life and according to my timeline. (no offense)
So in a few words: lots of advice offered, none worked, lots of good will available, close but no cigar though.
And in spite of all that goodness in this forum, I decided to step out, and reinstall.
Case closed (for me). Thx.

Hi GeneralSan
If you have not fixed it yet - then if there will be a login screen again, then enter the entire password of the Microsoft account (the system should start correctly)
write if it works?
- GeneralSanJun 21, 2022Copper ContributorThe entire password of the microsoft account was my only option (pin code was not supported), and windows did not accept my correctly entered password, as I tried to convey in my last post...
