Since the announcement of Windows 10, Microsoft has implemented the Insider program which allows its fans, developers or anyone interested to test new versions of the system in advance. The interest for Microsoft is to have the new features of Windows tested by as many informed users as possible who will be able to provide feedback. The company also collects a lot of anonymized data that allows telemetry to be done and determine which functions are used or not.
