windows crashing on opening discord

Copper Contributor

Hey folks,

I'm using the windows 11 insider beta channel when I am watching YouTube or using any which is playing audio and then when I open discord it causes the audio renderer error and the audio stops coming and after two minutes system crashes with code DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE and restarts I noticed a strange thing if I open discord first then other apps then this error doesn't arises. I'm using the Asus Vivo book S14 2023

Hi @adityakirad,

seems like you're experiencing a compatibility issue or a conflict between Discord and your audio drivers, which is leading to a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE error.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and try to resolve the issue:

1. Update Audio Drivers:
Ensure that your audio drivers are up-to-date. Download and install the latest audio drivers for your model.

2. Windows Updates:
Ensure that your Windows operating system is fully updated. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for any available updates.

3. Update Graphics Drivers:
Ensure that your graphics drivers are up-to-date too.
