I had this problem installing 22000.176, rolled back to 168 and to 160 but still not working. Following suggestion from Windows Insider twitter thread I brought up task manager with ctrl-shift-esc, selected file / run new task, "control", and got into the time/date settings. Rolled date forward to Sep 4 and turned off Internet time sync. After a reboot, my taskbar is populated again and Windows key working. Looks good except for being Sep 4 🙂 Give it a try!

- JBAkroydSep 03, 2021Copper ContributorI had no faith in this but it worked. Date time settings, change time to a day in the future, turn off time sync
- Michael_BrunkerSep 03, 2021Brass Contributormarkdeloura that seems to have worked! Unbelievable...simply setting the date forward (and turning off Internet time sync) appears to have fixed it for me...I could have troubleshooted for years and not found that. Thanks!
- Michael_BrunkerSep 03, 2021Brass ContributorThere is a long (and growing) thread in Twitter from @WindowsInsider covering this issue. Microsoft appear well aware of it 🙂
