WIndows 11 not working on Dell G7 , 16gb ram , Corei7 8th generation (Showing Error)
I tried Installing the windows 11 co-release after joining the windows insider programme as a dev, each time it downloads up to 100% and while installing it stops at any point from 70% - 80% and shows this error- (W*indows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.22000.132 (co_release) -Error 0x80070002)*
I have troubleshooted the windows update but nothing was detected , I also used the advanced troubleshooter still nothing was found, I downloaded windows update installer still the same thing, please what i'm I doing wrong, because I have friends who uses the same system as mine and they already updated their windows to windows 11 and its working fine.

- I think the first time I tried it, it got held back in the same way yours did, I ended up leaving the inside program and was able to get an install of windows 11 just to find nothing but issues about, " my administrator has blocked.... blah blah blah". The problem with that error is I don't have an administrator other then me. I am a 100% Service Connected Disabled Marine, I'm not employed so who is my mystery administrator? Well this seems to be a question nobody can answer, seems zi have one of these mystery administrators on Google and Apple. If anybody has any advice on finding out who these mysterious administrators are, please let me know. The only way I could get my machines back to being in a working condition was a clean install back to windows 10. As far as the paid software, I sent an email to Corel explaining what happened and they let me re-download my software which I saved on my NAS server (a highly recommended device I recommend you get), more as I struggle through these upgrades at least I have a copy of all of my paid software and other software for like my CNC all saved on my NAS server. I don't know if this helps but maybe it might. One of the other changes I had to make to get windows 11 to my laptop was to increase the size of my partition that windows users to install files on, I'm not positive but it seems you need enough room to not only save these files but also enough room to execute them. I wrote that all up on how to do it in the windows insider under one of the updates that do may windows insiders aren't able to do because of it failing because it didn't have enough room. I hope Microsoft published it because it really cleaned up allot of errors I was getting. But I'm still stuck working around my mysterious system administrator. Hope the last part helps. And don't forget to go into your bios F2 or F12 at boot and enable your TPMS 2.0 then go into your windows settings under security and enable it there. I'll keep the thread updated on the progress I make.
Hi, you will probably need to do a clean install of Windows10 , the software installed by the computer manufacturer perhaps - blocks the ability to install Windows11 .
Deleted i have some paid apps and software i am scared of loosing if i do a clean install , is there not any other way ?, because most of my softwares are not easy to get please.
- I have the same issue, I've ordered a PC that comes with windows 11, I'm hoping as I add my paid software to that PC I can save the installs for my Dell G7 and Alienware R3 15 laptops to make the transition easier. I'll try to keep this thread updated on my progress. The new computer will be arriving at the end of May, 2024.
