Windows 11 insider fails to install and getting error 0x80070002

Copper Contributor

I have issue with windows insider program. Windows 11 beta preview installation in particular.

It downloads, then tells me to restart to install it, starts installing, reaches 5%, suddenly restarts and says undoing changes made to your pc. And then when I go back to windows update it gives me error 0x80070002.

Hi familiarize yourself with these steps - write if it works for you.
I have tried all of the steps already
And hard reset - hold down the power button for 10 seconds and then reboot.
trying to download the iso atm
That didn't work either

That leaves a clean install of Windows10 and removal of installed apps- unfortunately.

@poteto what did you do to get it work?

Are you on asus hardware?
https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1047338/

There is an issue with earlier versions of the asus system control interface drivers that can cause this update issue. It is resolved by upgrading my asus and the system control interface driver to v3 or higher
No, that doesnt help/ And v3 control interface already installed. My Asus also last one

Any other options?
Do you have a third-party antivirus installed?
This may block the installation of the Insider program.
But to uninstall such an antivirus you need to use the tools from the website of this antivirus provider.
