Why can't I install Bitdefender? Green Screen kernel_securitycheck_failure

I am perplexed as to why I can't install Bitdefender Total Internet Security 2018 on my Alienware 13 r3. I have no problems with all my other computers, but on this one I continually get a green screen, upon restart, after installation of this program, returning the above fault message, Is anybody else getting this. I have run file checker and driver checker. There are no errors anywhere, and no other problems. Bitdefender won't help because this is Beta software. When I uninstall Bitdefender, it goes away, however ATC.SYS is still on my computer, and can't be removed. Is ATC.SYS a Bitdefender file, or does it belong to Microsoft? Can this be a virus?
