The a number of the Icons on my windows 11 desktop are displaying as white boxes

a number of icons shown on my start up desktop show as plain white boxes, they regain their Icon graphic images if I press "Refresh" in a right click dropdown menu.

    Since when this problem started?
    Have you tried updating your Windows?
    Have you tried restarting your PC?

      I have done both restarts and upgraded windows. the problem started two weeks ago or three windows upgrades ago depending if you are working in time or windows versions on the insider program.

        Try performing Clean Boot and see if the problem persists?
