Issue with Windows Defender on Windows 11

I cannot open any of the settings on windows defender, when i try to it tells me to look for a compatible app in the Microsoft Store. Is this a bug or some other (fixable) issue?

    I had this problem on all machines updated from 19043.1151 to 22000.120.
    This command from elevated PowerShell fixed the problem for me, try it and report the results:

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI -AllUsers | Reset-AppxPackage

It's possible to reach the settings by using the search tool. Enter "Windows Defender" and you'll find a link to Windows Defender. You can also reach it from the control panel.

    Doesn´t work. Any click on any of the itens presented under "Protection Areas" prompts the appearance of this message: "You´ll need a new app to open this windowsdefender link", plus the option to "Look for an app in the Microsoft Store".

    progmikI am able to search for Windows Defender, but in clicking; still asks for app from app store.  Windows 11 ver.  22000.282

      Tom_ Did you mean windows security or windows defender firewall?

    progmik isn't that the windows defender firewall? kind of looks like something from windows XP. I'm not too sure if the windows defender firewall application is different to the windows defender application. for me it seems as if i simply dont have the windows defender application installed as it sends me to the Microsoft store in order to download something to complete such action/

    By clicking on the search icon (magnifying glass) on the taskbar and searching for "control panel" you will find the legacy control panel,

    in which you will find the Windows Defender Firewall where you can take action.
