How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- Jul 30, 2024The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.

I'm having the same problem.... the lack of this option, it's unproductive and it's making me think go back to installing Windows 10
- nathanstackApr 28, 2023Copper ContributorChiming in to say I, too, really want this option back in Windows 11.
- the_reckonerOct 07, 2022Brass ContributorCame here just to leave my reply and like this comment. My workflow is slower because of the lack of this feature
- dylanrjamesMar 06, 2023Brass ContributorWhy are you copying Apple's **bleep** design standards? The people using Windows have been using Windows because they prefer the way it does things like this. You're just turning your OS into a worse version of MacOS - Mac users won't use it because it's worse, and you're alienating the people that actually use your OS. You're shooting yourselves in the foot.
- renkeholertJan 28, 2023Copper ContributorI reverted to Windows 10, too
- viny007Jun 25, 2022Copper ContributorI totally agree with this opinion. Ungrouping of taskbar items is a must feature as it improves productivity. It is disappointing that it is missing in Windows 11. Hope that the Microsoft team would be looking into it as i have went back to Windows 10 especially for this reason.
- DaveNodererNetJan 03, 2022Copper ContributorYes, it is very annoying and time consuming.

Microsoft really sucks, they think what they like others also like it, I really hate it as I bought the new Laptop which comes with Windows 11, really painful going through 3rd party tools. The issue is not resolved. they create pain and nothing else, they must be sued for this.
Thanks
- Mark_HarveyDec 05, 2022Copper ContributorI agree. This needs to be brought back ASAP.
- artad1974Dec 05, 2022Copper ContributorThe funny thing is that MS is whining about people aren't using Windows 11. They doesn't fix this which would make LOTS of people install Windows 11, but they DON'T....so they took a big step back and literally f*cked their own faces... *ssholes...
