Error while updating to Windows 11 Insider Build 22454.1000

I'm currently on Windows 11 Insider Build 22000.168. While trying to update to the newest build (22454.1000), I get the 0x800705aa error code, and also sometimes the 0x80070005 error code. The error code displayed has basically been alternating randomly between 0x800705aa and 0x80070005. In both cases, installation gets stuck at 20% for about 2 minutes, and then it shows up as an error.

I've tried most of the steps I could find online regarding both error codes, including:

  • Trying to install with a clean boot
  • Temporarily turning off Windows Defender during installation
  • Using Subinacl to reset permissions
  • Setting Full Control permissions to everyone on the AppData folder
  • System Restore to a one-week-old restore point
  • Restarting Update services
  • Running the Windows Update Troubleshooter (this didn't detect anything)
  • Running the SFC and DISM commands to check system files (all spotless)

Is it a corrupted update file that could be causing the error? Any help on how to proceed further will be appreciated.
