The vision of Viva Insights is to improve employee productivity and wellbeing with data-driven, privacy-protected insights and actionable recommendations. How you can contribute and engage (Please read)
- Share your experience of using the product and ask questions on one of the discussion spaces. Read about an interesting article about productivity? Have a solution to a problem someone else is asking about? Please respond and share! Our community thrives on your active participation.
- Search or read our community posts before you post a question - a lot of questions have already been asked (and answered) before
- Encourage others who have posted by giving a kudos (thumbs up icon next to their post) if you agree and have a similar experience. This helps our community highlight and respond to frequently asked questions
- This is not meant to be a channel for dedicated customer support: Please use this community for general questions and thoughts. For dedicated support on issues you are facing with the product, please visit our Get Support page
- Have a cool feature idea? Share it with our product team and review other people’s suggestions. Our team regularly reviews and implements top ideas from our active users.
- Set up Email Notifications for forums that you are particularly interested in, so you will not miss any new posts. To do this, go to your preferred discussion space or blog, and click the subscribe button on top right of the page

Are you a Viva Insights partner or MVP? We have private groups for partners (Link to partner user group) and MVPs (Link to MVP user group) to discuss and share their experiences in a NDA space. Please request access to join these groups.
ABOUT THE COMMUNITY DISCUSSION SPACES
To post questions or share your experiences, post in one of the 6 different discussion spaces:
- Setup, licensing and onboarding: This space is where users post questions and comments on onboarding, licensing and setup related topics (such as HR data uploads, Organization File uploads, or role assignment). You can also use this forum to post questions about data privacy, i.e., where your data is stored and handled.
- Personal Insights: This forum is for questions and discussions relating to personal insights features, such as briefing and digest emails, praise, wellbeing, personal features in the Viva Insights Teams app, the Outlook add-in and focus plans
- Manager and Leader Insights: This forum is for questions and discussions on the features of Manager and Leader Insights such as manager setting setup, teamwork habits, team management, 1:1 time, my organization, the homepage and the leader experience in the Teams app and web apps.
- Advanced Insights: This forum is for questions and comments on all the features on the advanced insights app including queries, PowerBI templates, plans, home page business outcomes, actionable suggestions, and more. If you are customer transitioning from the old to the new Advanced Insights platform, join our Transition support user group.
- Give feedback and feature suggestions: Users can submit their ideas about new product features they would like to see. All ideas are sent to the Product team who consider them, and many ideas have been implemented in the past. To show your support for another user’s idea, please kudo their post. You can also use this forum for questions and discussions that do not fit in the above categories, such as general questions about Viva Insights and how it is being used in your organization.

- Documentation: Links to Viva Insights documentation that users can refer to as a starting point before coming to the forum to ask a question
- Community events: We will be hosting multiple events throughout the year to announce the latest feature releases and Ask-me-Anything sessions where you can get questions answered directly from our Product team.

OUR CODE OF CONDUCT
DO:
- Be positive, kind, and courteous. “Like” posts and ask questions. Be friendly with others on the network. Feel free to provide feedback, but keep it constructive.
- Look at Discussion spaces, Inspiration Library, and Blogs and join conversations.
- Post to the right place! Is your question about Manager Insights? Post it to the “Manager and Leader Insights” discussion space. Using tags like #settings and #directreports also help people understand what you are talking about. Not sure where to post? Feel free to message an admin.
- Mark answers as a solution. This helps ‘close’ the thread so folks know you’ve received the answer you were looking for.
- Search before you post! There is a chance that your question has already been answered. The search function on this platform is very powerful, take advantage of it. Speaking of which...
- Keep private stuff private. Double check to make sure you are posting confidential information responsibly and in the correct place.
- Add a profile picture and fill out your profile! It’s easy and quick, and helps people discover you as an expert.

DON’T
- Post questions expecting to find dedicated support to break-fix issues. The best place to get immediate Microsoft support is to open a support ticket in your Office 365 Admin Console: Get support | Microsoft Docs. If you have a problem, we want to make sure it’s tracked, ticketed and escalated as needed so you’re back up and running as quickly as possible. We do not offer ticketed support in the Microsoft Viva Insights Community.
- Post solicitation, spam, and/or content free posts. This is a place for all of us. Don’t fill the groups with 3rd party promotion. Violators may be banned from the network.
- Be negative. Constructive feedback is good, but avoid personal remarks, sarcasm and blame.
- Use crazy fonts, profanity or ALL CAPS. All caps and strange fonts are annoying.
- Wander off topic. No posting about sports, religion, politics or other things that don’t belong here.
- Share content from a private group. Respect your colleagues and our acceptable usage policy.
- Harvest user data. Some members may share personal information here. If you spam members from this network, Microsoft may take legal action.
- Post content you didn't write. While quoting blogs and other sources is fine, if you include content that wasn't written by you, please include a source link/attribution.
Where any aspect of this Code of Conduct is in conflict with the Microsoft Terms of Use, the Microsoft Terms of Use will take precedence.
