Re: Feature Request - Tile Tabs / Tiling Tabs feature from Vivaldi browser
I'm still waiting for this feature. Having tabs tiled in one tab is so useful. I want to compare information between websites (I work with websites, hosting, plugins, etc., in my own businesses) every work day and this would be indispensable in Edge.1KViews0likes0Comments- 33KViews2likes0Comments

I love the small search field. I can enter text there and leave it for later. Helps me a lot while working. I can enter text, it pops up search results, I can click on other search engines to have it search those engines if I want more results. I enter text and press enter and it opens the search in a new tab always since I have it set like that.9.5KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Feature Request - Tile Tabs / Tiling Tabs feature from Vivaldi browser
HotCakeXThank you. I do use Edge to test out its new features every week and for some other things. It's good to know about the search. I'm sure they can expand it. I truly hope they can add another field for search like Firefox, next to the address bar on top.9.5KViews0likes7CommentsRe: Feature Request - Tile Tabs / Tiling Tabs feature from Vivaldi browser
I also want tile tabs or open in sidebar! I searched for "tile" here to see if someone opened up that feature request. Glad to see it here. I love Vivaldi's implementation of it. It's superb. It's in the browser, and no need to have other browser windows opened to do this. You just select multiple tabs and click the tile tabs. In Firefox, you right click somewhere and do a "open in sidebar" and it works now to open it in the same browser window. Resizable, etc. Edge really needs that. I don't want to snap multiple windows side by side. I want same tab, same browser tiling. Vivaldi is very feature rich but an ultra-buggy browser that cannot be used for work or any serious usage. Perhaps only for 1 to 5 tabs at a time. Try creating multiple windows temporarily, use it a bit, move tabs around from one window to another, close the browser, re-open the browser, watch your tabs get mixed all over the windows, you'll start losing tabs. That's just one bug out of the 30+ I reported to them in the past years (none fixed because all they care about is adding new broken features rather than test them properly and fix previous bugs and make sure the foundation of the browser is well built).9.5KViews0likes11CommentsRe: Sleeping tabs FAQ
HotCakeX Hi and thanks. What about if we're in WordPress, typing a blog post, editing a page, and I leave it for 8 hours, would it freeze it? I can come up with more examples if need be. It's dangerous to have our content erased if this happens. Edit: or, I'm in cPanel, running a virus scan that takes 8 hours.. etc. By the way, clicking the Reply button here and replying is buggy. It always says I have extra HTML in there and that it removes it, but no matter how many times I submit my message, it doesn't submit but keeps mentioning that error. All I do is type a message. I don't enter code. I'll just use Quick Reply from now on.5KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Sleeping tabs FAQ
I just use Auto Tab Discard and set it to manually discard only. Meaning, I control when I want to discard a tab. Does the sleeping tabs feature of Edge have the ability for us to only manual freeze? I don't want automatic freezing since I deal with lots of websites for customers, hosting, important work, etc.5.3KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Introducing the new downloads experience
Haven't received it yet since I'm on stable but I love this feature! I absolutely hated Chrome's way of displaying it at the bottom and can't believe they still have it displayed there. I don't use Chrome anymore but instead Firefox for the past many years, so I'm used to having downloads at the top and I am glad you added it at the top. I'd like to move to Edge in the near future.33KViews1like0CommentsRe: Discussion - Updating our interface with Fluent touches
Would love to see density features. I would like Edge more compact. The top area (favourites bar, tab bar, address bar) is too large, in my opinion. With that said, the current Edge looks amazing. The slightly rounded elements are great. Colours are very attractive. Love the icons in context menus. Overall, exceptionally clean UI. More compact dropdown menus in folders and content menus would be appreciated, along with less padding/margin in the top right extension buttons. They're too separate.4KViews0likes0Comments
