Re: Here are my issues with the new stream.
Scott Czesak Category of Windows ME is cruel.... but fair! I can't see how they are going to resolve this massive mistake without a 'U' turn, but then, they are rich beyond imagination, so why should they bother? The mark of a truly successful company is to get big enough that what we want doesn't matter anymore. Microsoft, a truly successful company.3.5KViews1like2CommentsRe: This video has no sound
Once again, this is Microsoft not taking the time to check the work before rolling out a product. Deadlines mean more than ensuring the functionality of the product. This is a new addition to the increasing number of things that don't work once Microsoft 'Improve' a product. The recent advisory to move away from Stream and use Sharepoint for video sharing saw the loss of the ability to link videos in Powerpoint. Despite growing frustration from users that rely on this for training and Education, nothing has been done. So, I continue to ask... What on Earth are Microsoft doing apart from drowning in cash? Microsoft, PLEASE stop concerning yourselves with deadlines and concentrate on ensuring functionality is AT LEAST as good as before the 'improvement'.15KViews1like2CommentsRe: Here are my issues with the new stream.
cpeaseHere’s how I imagine this all possibly works within the Sharepoint department … and Im probably wrong, but it would explain things. The Sharepoint department have everything running smoothly, but if everything is working, that means they are redundant. The only solution is to keep coming up with ideas (regardless of how bad they make the product). Being target driven, the company expects a delivery date, so regardless of whether it works or not, they must rollout on that date. Microsoft probably feel they must keep developing new ideas, regardless of whether they work or are useful, to keep customers. However, they are making life difficult for everyone and it’s only a matter of time before another company comes up with something simple and effective that will pull customers away from the nightmare of Microsoft. Surely the users of this product aren’t requesting theses changes? You wouldn’t ask a car designer to put 10 extra steps in before you could change gear.4.3KViews1like0CommentsRe: Insert Stream (SharePoint) Link in PowerPoint
@Marc MrozWhat on Earth is Microsoft doing???? We migrated all of our video resources from Stream Classic as suggested. Now we have no way of inserting videos into Powerpoint, which we were able to do previously. Why have Microsoft become so poor at ensuring their products work adequately before rolling them out? Businesses are being used as guinea pigs to find all the faults, only to find Microsoft are too busy breaking other application to fix anything. The functionality Microsoft provide needs to be kept in place when 'improving' applications. Perhaps testing properly BEFORE rolling out? This is a mess and we are all getting sick and tired of Microsoft shrugging their shoulders and saying 'What the heck, let's just roll it out deal with the bugs some other time.' Microsoft are a multi billion dollar organisation. Can they not act like one?29KViews9likes10CommentsRe: Missing sites under Destinations when I try to move or copy files in modern library
Well that worked for me after wading through all these unhappy people. If Microsoft don't want to fix it, there's probably a reason. Lack of understanding of their own product? Poor design from the start and too far down the line to make it work? Plans to drop the product, so why fix basic problems? Who knows! It looks like It's up to us to keep finding workarounds for their designers. Well done on this workaround.5.1KViews0likes2Comments
