New feature: Smooth pinch-style zooming using mousewheel.
I really miss the smooth zooming that you get from pinch gestures on touchpad or touchscreen when using my desktops that have only a mouse with a wheel. The Ctrl+wheel style zooming has its place but 90% of the time if you just want to quickly enlarge and image or focus on a part of the page with small text the fast and smooth zoom-in-read then zoom-out of pinch style is so much nicer. With a mouse wheel that is smooth itself like my Logitech ones it would be a nice smooth action all round. Could Alt+wheel be used to trigger the smooth zoom? Leaving the current Ctrl+wheel one unchanged for people who are used to it.5KViews3likes3CommentsRe: Dev channel update to 92.0.884.2 is live
I managed to get the content switched off, turning off all extensions made the new tab page crash more slowly and allowed access to the settings to switch content off entirely. That will do for now and save me reverting to the release version.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Dev channel update to 92.0.884.2 is live
This update has broken the new tab page for me across all devices (multiple x64 and ARM64). It loads some of the news content (UK) and then dies with a stack overflow error. It's impossible to turn of the news content because you need the page to load before you can change its settings.. I sent feedback with a repro capture. But I'll have to switch everything back to the release branch.7.1KViews4likes3CommentsRe: Dev channel update to 86.0.587.0 is live
matb86 Showing up for me, an 'x' on the right of the dropdown when hovering over the suggestion. BUT, not for all suggestions, I think it's only ones of sites I've visited (history), not for ones picked from my favourites or ones returned by the search engine based on the partial text.14KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Dev channel update to 85.0.564.8 is live
wjrandon My scrolling went strange as well. I have a Logitech mouse with the smooth scroll wheel and it was pixel perfect and controlled but today it just went crazy, becoming overly sensitive and scrolling way too far and fast from the tiniest wheel movements. In the end turning off edge://flags/#edge-experimental-scrolling has made it usable but no longer quite as smooth as it was.13KViews1like0Comments
