Amazing What MS Access is capable of
Having been preparing financial statements for the last 15 years, I have come to appreciate the value of information, and how it helps reflect on your activities and planning for the future through strategy formulation and effective management decision-making. To achieve this efficiently, an organization needs to invest in Information Management Systems, no matter how small. Over the years, I have developed a desktop database using Microsoft Access and I must say this is really one of Microsoft’s most powerful tools but still very much underutilized in business. Below is my “Business Assist” Accounting Package model which I use for recording my transactions. It aims to address the basic needs of an organization such as: Invoicing Batch Invoicing Inventory Management Debtors and Creditors Statements Income Statement Balance Sheet Transaction Reports and more The beauty of it, I have customized it to suit my needs and I have all my information in 1 place. There is no need to continue using the counterbook in the 21st century. Let your business evolve.488Views0likes2CommentsAdditional Standard Database Template (MS Access)
I was inspired by the Northwind Database and I decided to work on an alternative package to complement the MS Access standard templates. I developed what I am proposing, an additional accounting package template using MS Access which goes all the way to Balance sheet, Profit and Loss, Debtors and Creditors statement, Aging analysis, Project codes, Work in progress, Inventory valuation, Invoicing, Credit notes, General ledger transaction history and analysis. It also comes with user logon, assigning of access rights, locking transacting periods, inventory movement reports, sales analysis by product, by customer, by Sales rep and so much more. I believe it can be a great addition to the pre-loaded MS Access Databases and increase the uptake of Office MIS products889Views1like7Comments
