Whatever you do, don't update. v144.0.3712.0 and 144.0.3713.0 can't stay running
Having issue with three Server 2016 machines and a Windows 11 Canary machine. Avoid allowing it to update if you can. Last few weeks have been pretty unstable anyway with "no background" new tab option not retaining between launches, url launches from other apps not always actually going(new tab is created, url is present, but have to physically click on address bar and press enter, or on an already existing tab, having to reenter the url more than once to get it to navigate). But 3712/3713 is a literal "can't stay launched"138Views2likes1CommentUnable to send feedback with recent versions
After doing a recording with Send feedback, I hit the "Send" button and it greys out and just sits there. It's got a "no" mouse pointer when I move over it. Did the same thing yesterday when reporting the same error(every new build I test problems introduced and send feedback until they get fixed). Since there's no way to send feedback about send feedback being broken. I'll do it here.290Views0likes8CommentsRe: Canary 133.0.3061.0 unstable(mouse pointer vanish, send feedback hard crash)
Currently using v134.0.3097.0. I get the mouse pointer disappearing very randomly now. I only posted on here because that version of Canary had "Send feedback" broken, so couldn't make recordings. The last few versions of Canary are horrible to try and use due to the auto-fill pop ups creating HUGE delays in trying to type. As in, I finish typing my name and wait 10+ seconds before my tab keypress moves to the next field. Then when submitting forms, all tabs are frozen and get a Windows 98 style title bar while waiting for it to finish posting and random error messages in edge://crashes(without Edge actually closing, has happened 3 times so far this morning). Current Canary needs to not move up the build chains. I've been sending in feedback as symptoms get better/worse. I suggest everyone else do the same to give them as wide ranging data as possible to help them track down and fix the issues they've created.163Views0likes1CommentRe: Canary 133.0.3061.0 unstable(mouse pointer vanish, send feedback hard crash)
The ability to report feedback was fixed with the next build for me. The mouse pointer vanishing was about two builds after I could send in proper feedback/recordings. If you are still having issues with the latest build, I suggest using the feedback tool. If you can't use Help & Feedback->Send Feedback, you might want to use the windows feedback hub to do a deeper recording.162Views0likes0CommentsCanary 133.0.3061.0 unstable(mouse pointer vanish, send feedback hard crash)
Mouse pointer frequently disappears from windows(multiple sites). Clicking Help & Feedback->Send Feedback crashes browser and generates two errors in edge://crashes. Since I can't submit feedback, reporting it here.695Views1like14CommentsMailMessage Content-Type "multipart/mixed" to "multipart/report; report-type=feedback-report"
I'm updating our in-house security software to send XARF reports rather than having to use abuse portals(DigitalOcean). The only issue I'm having is that a requirement is to have the mail message Content-Type header be "multipart/report; report-type=feedback-report". I can't find any way to change the message header. It's either the content-type of the body, or if I add attachments/alternate views, it's "multipart/mixed". if (mailMessage.Headers["Content-Type"] != null) mailMessage.Headers.Remove("Content-Type"); mailMessage.Headers.Add("Content-Type", "multipart/report; report-type=feedback-report");201Views0likes0Comments
