Looking into it

Our ERPs SAP and Oracle print over a local print server. We want to use Universal print to leverage printing over the internet without any type of VPN for a remote site. We tested printing from SAP using SAP Print Service. It only works going through a Local Printer with "Microsoft OpenXPS Class Driver" first, which prints to the UP printer. Here the diagram. However, we also use Oracle ERP and the print job is sent by a linux server. I tested it, but I was not successful. Same as above but printing directly to CanonForSap printer. I believe this is a key requirement for us to fully leverage this super cool new feature. Please consider this. I also opened a case REG:120060224004056.

Agreed, need ability to print from an ERP system to Universal Print.  I'm even OK if it needs to go to a Windows machine first as a connector/proxy.

Thanks for posting.

I would like to get a little more information to make sure we're talking about the same things.

Is the request here to be able to print from SAP in particular or is it that applications in general can print as requested here?

SAP Applications should be able to send print requests to universal print without using additional components.

I build a solution to be able to print automatic jobs from SAP ERP to an Azure connected printer located in a external storage.

So it is possible but not out of the box.
