The way a user can bring up the "Search Universal Print for Printers" dialog box is not the easiest for non technical users. (devices > printers > add printer > wait > Click search universal print button)

If we could have a ms-setting: shotcut directly to the "Search Universal Print for Printers". We could add this to a users start menu or desktop.

Thanks

The direction that Windows is heading for printer discovery experience can be previewed in Windows 11 (https://insider.windows.com/insidewindows11).

This is REALLY needed as we move to Universal Printing.

We need an easy way to tell users how to find and map to the printers.

Option could be to add to RHS of screen connect to Universal Printers.

Ideally (bonus points) there would be an option to log output of the mapping process (e.g. via a registry key) so we can see how the mapping is going

i.e. is it blocked by proxy, firewall, etc..

Could it access *.print.microsoft.com etc.?
