AndreasAsander - Thanks for waiting for this feature.
Just curious what printer brand do you use for Universal Print ready printers? 🙂
Microsoft has done the following work already and its available:
- In Universal Print, support for PIN
- In Windows 11, PIN support for printers that use Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) instead of v3/v4 print drivers. Universal Print is an IPP printer.
In Windows 10, PIN support for IPP is pending.
Universal Print relies on the printer to report whether it supports PIN. Most OEMs are aware of what needs to be done to add PIN support and we are awaiting announcements from them on when a new firmware update will be made available that supports PIN. Have you checked with your printer OEM on the availability of PIN support for Universal Print?
Thanks,
Saurabh
