Are you looking to create your application package for Test Base for Microsoft 365 from scratch? Are you seeking a way to onboard your Intune apps to Test Base? Do you want to edit your package scripts online? The newly released Test Base package onboarding experience is ready to help you achieve all those goals and more!
Creating a package from scratch and getting your application onboarded now takes less time! The new Test Base package onboarding experience offer five easy steps: define the basic package content, configure the test type, edit the package online, set the test matrix, and publish!
With the new package onboarding experience, you no longer need to prepare everything for the app package offline and then upload the zip file to Test Base. Scripts are auto generated for you, and you can modify the scripts online with our new code editor. You can also preview your package structure and indicate script paths by simply assigning tags.
To help organizations that use Intune to deploy applications save time, we now support the .intunewin package format. Instead of looking for the original .exe or .msi installation files and recreating any customizations you applied, you can simply upload your existing ,intunewin files directly to Test Base.
As many of you are looking for more flexibility when selecting which tests to run, we have made out of box tests optional. This simplifies test configuration for those of you who just want to run functional tests.
We have received feedback that some Test Base users want to change the package .zip file content, but keep the same test and OS configuration settings when adding new packages. For this scenario, you can now create a new package by simply duplicating a previously published package, saving you the time and effort involved in filling out all the configuration information.
