With hybrid meetings fast becoming the new normal, it's exciting to see how the latest camera technology is helping dissolve boundaries and inclusively engage everyone's voices, faces, and ideas. Announced today, the Surface Hub 2 Smart Camera1 promises to bring remote participants into the room like never before. No matter where you're located, you'll be able to see your colleagues interacting with content on the screen along with everyone else in the room – seamlessly and at the same time.

The camera uses AI face detection to dynamically adjust the video feed and automatically reframe the view. When someone leaves, more people come in, or someone interacts with content on the screen – that is captured too! People in the room can move freely, knowing they'll be captured on camera as they interact with remote team members in vibrant and clear life-sized video on the brilliant 4K screen. Rest assured no AI face detection data is captured or saved.

For a demo, check out this short video. And to visualize the difference, see how the camera greatly enlarges the field of view, allowing remote participants to see colleagues drawing on the edges of the screen.
