DFSR is a replication system that synchronizes files between servers. DFSR replicates custom folders as well as the built-in SYSVOL folder of Active Directory Domain Controllers. DFSR was last significantly updated in Windows Server 2012 R2. For more information, review DFS Namespaces and DFS Replication Overview | Microsoft Learn.
