Cumulative Update #8 for SQL Server 2016 SP2

The 8th cumulative update release for SQL Server 2016 SP2 is now available for download at the Microsoft Downloads site. Please note that registration is no longer required to download Cumulative updates.

Note: There are some common fixes ported between this release, SQL Server 2016 SP2 CU8, and the upcoming SQL Server 2017 RTM CU16.  The KB docs for these common fixes will have links to the fix in both SQL Server 2016 SP2 CU8 and SQL Server 2017 CU16 releases.  For a small window of time, the SQL Server 2017 CU16 link will not work until the SQL Server 2017 CU16 package is released on 8/1.
