Re-posting a message from the SQL Server Release service team on Cumulative Updates till end of year:

 

SQL Server Cumulative Updates (CU) through the end of calendar year 2023 - Microsoft Community Hub

 

 

  1. SQL Server 2022 RTM has completed one year after SQL Server GA release last November.  Per the Modern Servicing Model Announcing the Modern Servicing Model for SQL Server - Microsoft Community HubCumulative Updates (CU) for SQL Server 2022 RTM will transition from monthly to every other month starting this November.  The first bi-monthly servicing release will be Cumulative Update #11 for SQL Server 2022 RTM, planned for release, next calendar year in January…
  2. Cumulative Update #24 for SQL Server 2019 RTM maintains bi-monthly cadence, release is planned next month in December.
