Proactive Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM) increases the lifetime value of your customers by expanding your customer engagements beyond transaction and renewal. By anticipating and responding to your customers' needs, you can improve customer satisfaction, retain subscribers, and grow your business through additional managed services.

In July 2021, we introduced the private preview of Project Orland for Microsoft 365, a new experience in the Microsoft Partner Center that empowers CSP Partners to proactively engage with and nurture their customers. At that time, we had a vision of what was possible, and with the help of select partners, we built a more robust AI-powered experience that supports a set of use cases that best serves partners and their customers.

We are delighted to announce the public preview release of Project Orland this October to further democratize access to AI-powered insights and recommendations and empower CSP partners to support their customers' business and technology needs.

About Project Orland

Project Orland is a new digital experience that looks at your CSP customer base and applies data models built by Microsoft data scientists to surface prioritized growth opportunities for your customer success and sales leaders to act upon. With those insights, Microsoft offers a more efficient Customer Lifecycle Management practice that provides healthy user acquisition, increased customer retention, and improved monetization opportunities for CSP partners.

“Project Orland provides amazing insights [and] has helped us define and implement our own customer lifecycle program.  By using the recommendations we’ve reduced churn, improved business agility, reduced costs, and expanded our reach into new markets. Project Orland reaffirmed our mission and is helping us to empower our customers.”
