Multiple chats sessions with same contact in S4B window ?
Hi Phillip,
Any updates on this? I am using latest version 16.11.115 and have this issue, this is really annoying to have 10 different conversations from the same contact everytime that contact initiates a new conversation.

I apologize for the long delay in responding. I have good news, so perhaps you will forgive me. We are working on implementing a solution to this problem that would reuse the same chat window or panel for multiple conversations with the same person. This won't ship in the update next week, but If all goes well we hope to ship this in the 16.12 release.

Why can't we all just admit that S4B is never going to work, give it a quick and painless death and put it out of our misery? Our company 'attempts' to use S4B within our support team to communicate with one another to resolve customer issues. The split messaging and messages getting delivered out of order makes using S4B for day to day operation impossible. We are in the process of switching to Teams from S4B because it works, Skype for Business simply does not.

We are up to 16.20, and I am still having the the issue of chats showing up split up. It happens when we are using the Mac desktop client, and start a new conversation. It happens when we switch between desktop and mobile, or desktop and Outlook web access.
I'm really trying hard to release SfB to faculty, but this is going to hinder uptake. Is there any hope?

The chat architecture in Teams is completely different, so split conversations won't be an issue there.

The http://skypeandteams.fasttrack.microsoft.com/. Might be of interest but I have written an article with related details, though I am still working on it - https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/40263.microsoft-teams-replacing-the-skype-for-business-client.aspx.

Hi Phillip,
This is good news.
Can I ask, there is an article stating that S4B will be officially replaced with Teams. Can you confirm this? If so, can you ensure this particular problem is not reintroduced into Teams as well?
Best, Peter
