AB-620 - only Associate certification with prerequisites?

Hi

According to https://aka.ms/certposter AB-620 has prerequisites?

But nowhere on the exam page or in the study guide the prerequisites is referenced?

Also in the Trainings report (Partner Center Insights), users who has passed the exam doesn´t get a certification and TrainingActivityId for the certification (only the exam)

From working with Microsoft many many years, this is afaik the first and only Associate certification that has prerequisites! Or does it really?

Normally those with prerequisites are the Expert certifications (and now the new Solutions Architect certification)

Can someone at Microsof please engage and let us partners know, as this tampers with the insights we use

Regards

Gabriel

Yes, this looks like a documentation/credentialing inconsistency rather than a normal Associate prerequisite.

The current Microsoft Learn page for AB-620 does not list a prerequisite certification; it describes the expected experience/knowledge instead.

The certification poster apparently showing AB-620 as a prerequisite for AB-100 is different: that means AB-620 is a prerequisite for the Expert/Architect certification, not that AB-620 itself requires another certification. Microsoft’s AB-100 page lists AB-620 among the qualifying prerequisite certifications.

So I would not interpret the poster as meaning AB-620 requires a prerequisite. The Partner Center reporting issue you describe is a separate matter and would be worth raising with Microsoft Partner Center/credentials support, especially if passed exams are not generating the expected certification activity data.

  • The poster http://aka.ms/certificationsposter  is wrong, AB-620 https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/ai-agent-builder-associate  is not an expert certification and does not have prerequisites.

Microsoft does not monitor this forum, so if you want a definitive answer, contact Microsoft Credentials support https://aka.ms/credentials-support

If the certification is not showing correctly on Partner Insights, I would suspect that you also need to contact Partner Centre support
