ahnafm As a long term (30+ years) user (and tech supporter) of the Mac and Windows versions of the entire Office suite of apps, all I can say is beware what you wish for. The Mac version of Outlook, whilst having some nice new features is still sorely lacking a whole bunch of basic functionality that the Windows versions have enjoyed for decades, (e.g. Drag and drop copying of calendar events) including some features that the older versions of Outlook for Mac used to have but are now no longer available in the "New Look" version of Outlook for macOS (e.g. In app sender whitelisting! - Yes, we have to log into the Web app now to whitelist safe senders! No doubt a move Microsoft are adopting to drive use of their native Web app).
Basically, Microsoft are moving all their desktop app dev towards a legacy support model. Their Mac product is largely a copy of the core code of their web native app, just wrapped up for desktop use. This is where they'll be taking the Windows users with their "New Look Outlook" for Windows. So, expect the loss of some basic functionality in the transition.
