Sharing lists with others outside your organization
Hi all. Wanted to let you know that I have been able to use Todoist to share lists across the family without everyone having to have the same email domain

Unfortunately No.
Tried a bunch of different things... all sub-optimal.
Currently, I run 2 accounts... and have to sign out and in review/change personal list and then out and in to return to work account.... rather nuts.
I certainly, get there are significant security implications here... but "can't get there from here" is not believable.

I abandoned the plan to share with family. It was simple too hard to switch accounts, so instead I now run ToDoist for family and ToDo for work. this is much easier as I have 2 icons on my mobile devices, 1 for each. And I have been able to successfully integrate ToDoist with my Alexa shopping list so I have fully integrated family shopping lists that can be managed by Alexa.

Matt Allington That's great that you found a workaround that's working for you. Wouldn't it be great if you had one "trusted place" to go for all your commitments.
My family used the same approach you are describing for a while and we loved Todoist, and i would have adopted that as my one platform but a) our company is in deep with MS so there's many benefits to the integration and b) I needed some of the features that are only on the paid version of Todoist.
That said, we did find that CREATING the list in my wife's (outside our organization) system, she was able to invite me and now we have our shared shopping list in MS ToDo.
I found out the other day that I was able to share that list with my daughter (inside our organization to outside) actually worked, I think only because it was created OUTSIDE (by my wife).
Why oh why does this have to be so difficult?
Bottom line, MS needs to fix this!
