Thank you toleanne, The screenshot cleared it up for me. I actually already had it set that way already. I've been using a search folder to do the same thing for my flagged emails. My whole issue is that I want to share the task list with others, without sharing the whole account and also, I really want to use the flagged email function rather than creating a separate discrete task. ToDo, when it had the group by Category function, was almost perfect (you still had to move items from your flagged email section to a proper task list in order to share it) and provided a quick way to handle a plethora of tasks coming in via email every day. So I hope this functionality returns.

Yes, I miss the feature, too. It should be a default functionality. Otherwise, To Do is just a notepad with extra steps 🙂
