Microsoft Steam (SharePoint) Time codes

Is there a way to add timecodes to comments in SharePoint stream? I am able to add timecodes in Microsoft Classic Stream but not SharePoint. In addition, the workaround of appending "&nav='playbackOp...

Chapters just released to world wide in the last few weeks! Chapters are a great way to have specific points in the video to help viewers get to the right part of the video.

From what I am experiencing, it seems that activating the "chapters" function negates the possibility of adding a specific timing when sharing a video. Is there a workaround to this?
Can we share a video and "start playback at a specific chapter" embedded in the link?
Or is there a workaround so I could still share a video with specific "stat playback at" function, event though I have the "chapters" activated?

    Billy Larivière - Can you explain more?

     

    With your video in SharePoint or OneDrive you can turn on the chapters side pane in "Video settings" and then add chapters at specific time points. Anyone who see the video can navigate the video by these chapters no matter what.

     

    Also, just rolled out to 100% of worldwide yesterday (GCC coming soon) is the new Stream web app. If you open the video in the new Stream branded web app (via stream.office.com, web part, share link, or "Open in Stream" button from the ODB/SPO preview page). There is now a new "Copy link at current time code." This lets you link to the video and playback will start at that specific point in time. 

     

    To get a link that starts the video at a specific point in time...

    1. Click on the chapter you want to link to or just scrub the video timeline to a specific point
    2. Click the "Share" button
    3. Click "Copy link at current time"
    4. Change the link settings like you would for any other share link (pick link type, view, edit, download, etc)
    5. Send that link to someone else to click
    6. When the user clicks the link it'll start playback of the video from the time in step 1
