Hi @Mark Kashman, is it also available for free for office 365 migration too? Or just for Microsoft 365 licenses? Please let us know if there is any licensing requirenment

Copper Contributor

Office 365 enterprise users can use the service without paying for any specific license.

What is meant by the following?

"Does Mover support Microsoft Teams? Microsoft Teams will appear and operate the same as a SharePoint Online site."

https://mover.io/guides/migrating-office-365-to-office-365/#does-mover-support-microsoft-teams

I'm interested in details to compare mover.io to the BitTitan MigrationWiz tool (see https://www.bittitan.com/migrationwiz/microsoft-teams-migrations/ and https://blog.bittitan.com/feature-spotlight-microsoft-teams-assessment/).

this is awesome what we call simplicity

Will this help with cross tenant migrations?

Copper Contributor

@Mark Kashman @Michael Gendreau  I agree with above question - will this help with cross tenant Office 365 SharePoint migrations? Thanks!

Microsoft

Hi @Maridee26 & @Michael Gendreau. Mover is designed to move files and folders, and while it can do that from one tenant to another, that is the extent of it today. When you’re doing a T2T migration, consider mail, conversations, sites, lists, pages, web parts, workflows, users and groups, etc. and those are things that Mover doesn’t do - FYI. Looping in @Sesha who is looking into future plans. Thanks, Mark

Microsoft

Hi @rs_oakford. We don't have comparison guides like you've asked about. And per Teams file migration, the underpinning storage location for Teams Files is SharePoint; the group-connected document library for each Teams team. That said, when you use Mover (cloud-to-cloud) or our SharePoint Migration Tool (to move from on-premises), you really are mapping to the connected SharePoint document library, and once the files are there, people would see them in the Files tab within Teams. Thanks, Mark

Microsoft

Hi @Arpit720@Soni . is right. Whether you have the Office 365 subscription, or Office 365 as a part of your Microsoft 365 subscription, you would have free access to use https://Mover.io. Start moving! Thanks, Mark

Hi @Mark Kashman How can we get screenshare assisted guidance on getting a 1.39TB folder moved from DropBox Business to SharePoint site? We don't have IT dept, and I can't figure out how to make it work. I've tried clicking support on Mover.io website but it just links back to MS landing page. Main Office365 Admin Centre phone support staff do not seem to know anything about Mover product. Can you get someone to contact me?

Microsoft

Please where is the best place for customer to get help with movers. My customer just ask for Fasttrack engineer to help answer questions about it. Can they open a support request. If yes, what will they be selecting? Thanks for your help in advance

Does Mover support yammer discovery and migration?

Brass Contributor

@Sesha  Mover errors on any single files larger than 15GB:

"Filesize is larger than supported by Office365. Maximum supported size is 15 GB.

But SPO supports files up to 100Gb as you know - can mover limits be changed to match SPO limits?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/servicedescriptions/sharepoint-online-service-description...

Thanks

Iron Contributor

@MagicHair, good point - have added that comment on increasing the file size limit to the closest suggestion I could find on https://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/282887-sharepoint-hybrid-and-migration/suggestions/31785250-...

Will Mover take MultCloud files/folders and transfer them?

Copper Contributor

@Mark Kashman is there any roadmap as to when the Mover tool will be available for Microsoft 365 Government clouds (specifically GCC High)?  Thanks!
