Security baseline for Microsoft Edge version 111

We are pleased to announce the security review for Microsoft Edge, version 111!

 

We have reviewed the new settings in Microsoft Edge version 111 and determined that there are no additional security settings that require enforcement. The Microsoft Edge version 107 security baseline continues to be our recommended configuration which can be downloaded from the Microsoft Security Compliance Toolkit.

 

Microsoft Edge version 111 introduced 1 new computer settings and 1 new user settings. We have included a spreadsheet listing the new settings in the release to make it easier for you to find them.

 

As a friendly reminder, all available settings for Microsoft Edge are documented here, and all available settings for Microsoft Edge Update are documented here.

    Hi Martin Zonderland, in the blog post Windows 10, version 22H2 Security baseline you can find the following statement from Julia Idaewor @ Microsoft;

     

    Thank you both so much for reaching out and for the feedback. We are planning to release the updated Intune Edge baseline and the brand new Office baseline in May '23 with the other updated baselines to follow in the next few months. The delays in the updates of the Intune security baselines were attributed to a one-time internal dependency whose fix was deployed early this year. Therefore, we will be back on our regular release schedule soon, so I do not anticipate this being a reoccurring issue where there is a large amount of time between the initial Group Policy Security Baseline release & the Intune release. We truly apologize for how long it has taken us to solve for these delays as I can't imagine the inconvenience you all have faced because of them, but rest assured you will be seeing more information in the next month regarding the upcoming release of the new baselines. Please let me know if you have any other questions/concerns and we truly appreciate your partnership and business!

    There's still no update in Intune (Endpoint Security), Security Baselines still not updated.

    • Edge Security Baseline --> latest version 10/01/2020
    • Security Baseline for Windows 10 and later --> latest version 10/22/2021 (22H2 still missing here...)
    • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Baseline --> latest version 12/09/2020

     

    When are the Intune Security Baselines updated?

    Baselines are more than 2 years old...
