Training/supporting documentation for OneDrive for Business on Microsoft Learn website

Copper Contributor

Currently, on the Microsoft Learn website there is no available training or supporting documentation for the OneDrive for Business (OD4B) application in Microsoft 365.

How come Microsoft has not yet developed training or supporting documentation for this application in Microsoft 365?

After completing a search for this information, I concluded that there is not an appropriate level of training or supporting documentation on the Microsoft Learn website, and a set of training and supporting documentation should be developed as soon as possible for the (OD4B) application.

Can anyone give me the url link to where I should submit the recommendation to have Microsoft develop the training and supporting documentation for the OD4B Application?

Hi Julian,
The link you provided does not have training or supporting documentation for the OneDrive for Business (OD4B) application. The training is for OneDrive Personal, not OneDrive for Business application...

I have completed an extensive search for training and supporting documentation on the OneDrive for Business application, and have not been able to locate any information on the Microsoft Learn website.

If there is information on the Microsoft Learn website about the OneDrive for Business (OD4B) application, search results are not being displayed for the end user community.

This probably needs to be investigated as to why no results are being displayed, if there is training and supporting documentation on Microsoft Learn...

If you do have url links to training and supporting documentation for OD4B, could you please provide the url(s) to the information?

I would like to recommend that training and supporting documentation be developed specifically for OD4B, due to the fact that the training and supporting documentation for OD4B is not available for the end user community.

The assumption is that OD4B and OneDrive Personal are different applications as these applications are solving different views of the OneDrive data sets (i.e., OD4B Global view and OneDrive Personal individual user view of the OneDrive file sets. If this is not a true assumption, then the OD4B training and supporting documentation is definitely required to support the differences in the applications...

When you select OneDrive from the link I provided there are two sets of training; one for Work or School (which is OneDrive for Business) and one for Personal.

Documentation for OneDrive for Business can be found at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/introduction

I also found the following Learn module
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/m365-onedrive-collaboration-use/
Julian,
Both of the links you provided do not address the OneDrive for Business application.

I have already completed the Training path for One Drive and OD4B is not addressed in the Training Path...

Again, I am not finding any Training or supporting documentation specifically addressing OD4B; how do I get at Training and supporting documentation specifically targeting OD4B when a search on Microsoft Learn's website gives no results for the OD4B Application?
Probably because Microsoft do not call it OneDrive for Business, it is now simply OneDrive (Work or School account) or OneDrive in Microsoft 365 or just OneDrive

"When you use OneDrive with an account provided by your company or school, it's sometimes called "OneDrive for work or school." It used to be known as "OneDrive for Business," so you may still see it called that in places." from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/what-is-onedrive-for-work-or-school-187f90af-056f-47c0-96...

All the links I have provided are for this

The problem is that OneDrive and OneDrive for Business are not the same application. OD4B is a Microsoft Dynamics server based SharePoint product; where OneDrive is a product within Microsoft 365. OD4B is an application that must be configured from Power Apps, where OneDrive is resident within Microsoft 365 with no configuration required...

There are zero results for OD4B coming up in the search (I have tried every combination of search terms I could think of, and still Zero search results for OD4B) on the Microsoft Learn website.

As these two different applications (with two different purposes) should be segregated into different Training Courses and supporting documentation, and the Terminologies should be clearly separated...

I hope that I have clearly stated the problems realized by the end user community because of this lack of separation of Terminology for two different applications...

The lack of search results for OD4B is a huge problem that should be investigated, yet it is probably being caused by not clearly defining the terminologies for these two uniquely separate applications...

How do we get the training and supporting documentation for OD4B developed and deployed on the Microsoft Learn website? This information is vital knowledge that the end user community should have access to on the Microsoft Learn website...

Hi Julian,

The responses you have provided have not answered the question; how do we get Training and supporting documentation developed on the Microsoft Learn website for the OneDrive for Business application?
You asked for training and documentation. I directed you to what is available.

There is no method to request additional documentation or training on Microsoft Learn.

I can only suggest you raise this on https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-sharepoint-blog/submit-your-onedrive-and-sharepoint...
