Outlook No new email notification Work Profile

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I've set up a work profile on my new Pixel 8 pro - I receive notifications for teams and outlook meetings, however I am not getting any notifications for new emails, I have restarted the phone, uninstalled and reinstalled and reset multiple times and still no luck - does anyone have a solution for this?

I cannot access my work outlook without the intune work profile unfortunately.

When you're experiencing issues with email notifications in your work profile on a Pixel 8 Pro, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

  1. Check App Notification Settings:

    • Open the "Settings" app on your Pixel 8 Pro.
    • Go to "Apps & notifications" or "Apps."
    • Find the "Outlook" app and tap on it.
    • Ensure that notifications are enabled for emails. There should be a toggle switch for email notifications.
  2. Check Battery Optimization Settings:

    • In the "Settings" app, go to "Battery."
    • Tap on "Battery optimization."
    • Find the "Outlook" app and make sure it's not being optimized. If it is, set it to "Don't optimize."
  3. Check Outlook Sync Settings:

    • Open the Outlook app.
    • Tap on the three horizontal lines in the upper-left corner to open the menu.
    • Go to "Settings" > "Notifications."
    • Confirm that notifications are enabled for new email messages.
  4. Check Do Not Disturb Mode:

    • Ensure that your device is not in "Do Not Disturb" mode, which may suppress notifications.
    • Swipe down from the top of the screen and check the "Do Not Disturb" quick settings.
  5. Check Doze Mode Settings:

    • In the "Settings" app, go to "Battery."
    • Tap on "Battery saver."
    • Make sure that Battery Saver is not turned on, or if it is, adjust the settings accordingly.
  6. Reinstall Outlook App:

    • Uninstall the Outlook app from your Pixel 8 Pro.
    • Restart your device.
    • Reinstall the Outlook app from the Google Play Store.
    • Set up your work email account again.
