iOS / Android App Inventory

Is there a reason why application inventory on iOS and Android devices is delayed by up to 7 days?  It makes it impossible to track applications on corporate owned devices that are vulnerable.

As a real world example with the most recent WhatsApp discovery, its impossible to find which devices still have vulnerable applications installed without waiting a full 7 days.  It would be nice to even just have the ability to force check.
