Device Settings - Maximum Number of Devices per user

I really want to know what does these settings do? Does it help the techs who are joining the devices to Intune have restrictions and how so? Also, how does this affect Autopilot joined devices, if there is a limit that is set here?

Hi, @oryxway the "Maximum Number of Devices per User" setting refers to a configurable limit that restricts the number of devices each user can use to access a service or application. This setting is commonly found in managed environments, such as businesses or licensed software systems, and is used for several key purposes:

1. License Control: It ensures that users do not exceed the allowed number of devices for accessing the service, helping to comply with licensing agreements.
2. Security: Limiting the number of devices per user can reduce the risk of unauthorized access or credential sharing.
3. Resource Management: In scenarios where resources or network traffic need to be carefully managed, this limitation helps prevent overuse of those resources.

When the maximum number of devices is reached, the user may need to disconnect or deactivate one of the registered devices before being allowed to add a new one.
