Bricked iPad?

Copper Contributor
Hi all

I was hoping you could assist with my situation, I think I have managed to lock myself out of an iPad.

-Enrolled through Apple DEP, USB debugging disabled (the option through DEP).
-It was then enrolled into Microsoft Intune (MDM platform).
-PIN enforced
-Company data removed from device via Intune, PIN still on device.

No one knows the PIN.
Current unusable iPad as no one knows the PIN, cannot be plugged in and debugging mode isnt allowing factory reset.

Help?

Hi,
from Intune (if your tenant have been migrated to new Intune version), create a specific enrollment profile with the following :
* User affinity : Enroll with user affinity
* Authenticate with company portal instead of Apple Setup Assistant : Yes
*  Management mode - Supervised : Yes
*  Management mode - Locked enrollment : Yes
*  Management mode - Sync with computers : Allow all
*  Setup Assistant custumization / Setup Assistant screen - Pass code : Show
*  Setup Assistant custumization / Setup Assistant screen - Location services : hide
*  Setup Assistant custumization / Setup Assistant screen - Restore : Hide
*  Setup Assistant custumization / Setup Assistant screen - iCloud & Apple ID : Hide
*  Setup Assistant custumization / Setup Assistant screen - <All remaining options> : Hide

2. Assign this new profile to concerned iPad

3. use hard reset buttons to factory reset your ipad.

4. After reboot, follow setup assistant to configure your device from language to home screen.

Come back to share the status as appropriate for additional manipulations.
