Hello dear community,

I have the problem that the protection policies set in Intune prevent sharing a document in OneDrive.

The error messages look like the following: First, an error message appears with "The administrator has set that you must authenticate to access your organization's content". As soon as you try to do that, a message appears saying that this action is not allowed by the administrator.

The settings made look like the following:

Target policy for: All apps

Backup organization data in Android backup services: Block

Send organization data to other apps: Policy managed apps.
(Since this policy applies to all apps and no other policy has been defined, OneDrive should be affected by this setting, right?)

Excluded apps: None
(Trying with OneDrive using package name: com.microsoft.skydrive and value 1 did not resolve the issue)

Receiving data from other apps: Policy managed apps

Open data in organization documents: Grant
(In my opinion, the "Grant" setting should be the solution to the problem here. However, it did not have the effect I was hoping for).

Restrict Cut, Copy and Paste between Apps: All Apps

There is no Conditional Access rule defined that requires authentication. I'm also not sure if the app protection policy is where the problem is hidden. Changing the policy to minimally restrictive did not have the desired effect.
