Now you can migrate your Google forms to Microsoft Forms for the full Microsoft 365 experience. This feature is currently available in the Microsoft 365 admin center and is designed as an admin and tenant-level feature, enabling admins to bulk migrate their Google forms to Microsoft forms through the Microsoft 365 admin center. Individual users can then access the migrated forms on the Forms website after the migration. In the initial phrase, we’re -leveraging the existing document migration process in the Microsoft 365 admin center to support forms migration under personal Google drives. Now, let's delve into the end-to-end process.

Prepare for the migration
Users should review their Google forms and responses prior to the migration and then verify all information is intact once the process is complete.

Review Google forms before migration

Forms migration in the Microsoft 365 admin center
The admin can initiate the migration from the Microsoft 365 admin center. To get started, the admin should firstly add, select and copy the targeted drives for migration, then designate the destination storage within OneDrive. Note: it’s mandatory to specify forms destinations, either specifying individual forms destination via UX (below) or uploading CSV file for bulk. Next, they can start migrating the forms under the selected drives. Once the migration is complete, the admin can access the summarized report or download the full report to see more details in Excel.

Retrieve migrated forms on the Forms website

After the migration, users can go to the Forms website and find all the migrated forms in one collection (Migrated Forms from Google). The migrated forms are almost the same as before the migration, and only require minor edits before re-use. Users can view the migrated responses in Excel.

I have just (04/02/2024) carried out a Google Drive migration and: (1) The options to select form options were not present and (2) All Google Forms failed to migrate. I am a Global Admin with a Microsoft 365 Business Premium licence.

When will this feature be available?

01/03/2024: Patiently waited a MONTH for a reply. Is anybody there?

I also can't see this available as an option when transferring from shared drives or personal google drives.

    When will this be available?

ChrisMendoza That's exactly the URL I am using and it simply does not look like / behave in the same way as the screenshots above - took this video 5 minutes ago:

    Feature not available

    • I have tried using both Chrome and Edge, both in their respective 'normal' and 'private' instances.
    • Created a brand new migration job with brand new users (both Google and M365 sides).
    • Made sure the source drive contains at least one GForm, confirmed with the Summary Report.
    • Used a different computer on a different network.
    • Searched for some kind of preview feature-switch, found none.

Furthermore, the 'upload destinations' downloadable CSV template DOES NOT include a column for 'Forms destination...' and if you try to manually add it, the blade returns an 'Incorrect CSV Template. Please modify based on downloaded template.' error.

I am clearly not the only one impacted by this.

Hey tictag, not sure if this is still an issue for you but I was able to access mine after I went into SharePoint admin and  - under user profiles- manage user profiles- search for your test user,  -and manage site collections owner and add yourself (or admin account you user), that should do the trick and it will show the folders for the user. I hope this helps.

AgathaAndrade Many thanks for the reply, but this is not the problem I am having. My issue is that I simply do not see what the author of this article is seeing i.e. the new Google Forms migration feature. I have since found out that at the time of writing my reply, it had only been rolled out to 10% of tenants. I have since completed my migration ... without the Google Forms feature, unfortunately.

I see, thanks for the reply new to this, we are about to go full-on migration from Google so hoping the forms past go smoothly as it is super important to our users.

AgathaAndrade Just check you can see the additional options in the OPs GIFs. If you can, I'm sure it'll be fine. If you can't, each .gform file will fail to migrate with reason: "Form is not supported for migration."

This feature is still in rolling out stage and not fully deployed yet. You need to change how you receive Microsoft 365 updates by following these steps.  Set up the Standard or Targeted release options - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn . You have to be a global admin in Microsoft 365 to opt in, and you don't have to change it for your whole organization. Only for the person responsible for running the migration tasks. Once it is enabled for you this is what you will see. Forms destination, click edit, then put the users email address in.

Will this work only for a Google Workspaces environment as the source? What if we need to import Google Forms from an individual Google account? How would we install the Microsoft 365 Migration app on the Google side?
