Web content filtering for specific devices
Hello,
Kindly i need to know why device groups is not appeared in defender --> settings --> endpoints?

asset rule management is visible in place instead of device groups
Regards,
- micheleariisSteel ContributorHello, by device group do you mean those created on Entra ID?
- ElieATIron ContributorHello,
there was a section on defender for endpoint settings called device group anw can you help me to mention web content filtering policy to a group of devices?
Regards,- micheleariisSteel Contributor
Here you create groups based on your needs (operating system, device name, etc.)
https://security.microsoft.com/
-System
-Settings
-Endpoints
-Group of devicesOnce created you can then assign content filtering policies
- rahuljindal-MVPBronze ContributorDevice groups shows up under system > settings > endpoints > permissions. You need minimum of security admin role assigned with MDE license to be able to view all the objects in the Defender portal. If you have RBAC implemented then you need to be allowed access to the objects. Where are you checking?
- ElieATIron ContributorIm a global administrator im viewing the settings endpoints there are no permissions section
i can see advanced features
in the rules i have alert suppression
indicators
web content filtering
asset rule management

So you do not see the device group section as reported by the following link:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-business/mdb-create-edit-device-groups
Microsoft 365 Defender>Settings>Endpoints>Device groups
