Microsoft Bookings simplifies appointment scheduling and management for customers, clients, and colleagues. Whether you're arranging meetings or allocating time for various engagements, Bookings offers a user-friendly solution that benefits both organizers and attendees. It features a web-based booking page seamlessly integrated with Outlook, optimizing your calendar and enabling customers to book appointments at their convenience.

We are thrilled to announce a significant expansion of our product's capabilities as we extend our support to government environments. Microsoft Bookings will now be supported in GCC-H & DoD clouds. Once enabled, your users will be able to create Bookings pages and share them with external contacts.

If you are an admin of an organization, you can prepare for this change in the following ways:

- If you want Bookings to be available in your organization, you don't need to take any action.

- If you don't want your users to have access to Bookings, you can disable it:Turn Microsoft Bookings on or off | Microsoft Learn. You can also grant specific users the ability to create booking pages by following instructions here:Turn Microsoft Bookings on or off | Microsoft Learn

Learn more about Bookings here: Microsoft Bookings | Microsoft Learn. Refer to Microsoft Bookings service description - Service Descriptions | Microsoft Learn for details regarding service description.

Idea for Purva_ekatpure_  & Microsoft Bookings Ideas :
I propose implementing a feature on the booking site that enables customers to select participating staff members for their meetings. Each staff member would be listed with a checkbox option, allowing the customer to choose their preferred participants. As selections are made, the system would dynamically update the availability calendar to reflect the selected staff's schedules. This functionality ensures a seamless booking experience by giving customers control over staff participation while maintaining accurate availability information.

      Hi twister9962 ,

Thanks for the suggestion & feedback. This feature is already present. While setting up a service, the bookings admin can configure if they wish to allow customers to choose the staff member explicitly. If this feature is turned ON by booking admin, the customers can select the particular staff member, and only the timeslots when that staff is present will be shown.

      Hope this helps. Thanks

        Hello Purva_ekatpure_ ,

Think I might have not explained myself well enough, so I will include a picture of what I'm suggesting.

The functionality you're mentioning allows the customer to select ONE of the staff members (like a radio button). I'm recommending the functionality to allow the customer to have the ability to select MULTIPLE of the staff members (like checkboxes).

In the picture below, I've included what I'm referring to in the red box. In this example, the customer would like to have Bobby Hill and Peggy Hill in the meeting, excluding only Hank Hill. This would then update the availability calendar to only reflect Bobby and Peggy. Existing functionality would only allow the user to choose Bobby OR Peggy, not Bobby AND Peggy.

Hope this better explains what I'm suggesting. 🤠

  • Is there a best practice guide that can be followed for configurations or maybe a SME available to meet with?  Thanks.
