Feature request: first slot available for meetings

Copper Contributor

Hello,

Since some people agendas at work are very busy is difficult to set up new meetings when several people are involved. Finding the right slot is painful using the current interface.

Yes I can see the busy attendants when provided a given date and hour but that's trial and error. Also, the Scheduling Assistant, the one with the attendants in horizontal and the days and hours in vertical is pretty difficult to use if the agendas are busy.

We need a new feature "FIND THE FIRST SLOT AVAILABLE" that providing people, and duration suggests the first time slot where every assistant is free. I think this feature should be accessed from the Scheduling Assistant.

I'd like to know the community opinion.

Pretty nice ideas 😄
Hi, Teams isn't really that mature scheduling client (not yet at least) but you have Microsoft's own FindTime which can be integrated with Teams https://findtime.microsoft.com/

You'll have to talk to your IT admin though as that person need to do some configuration.

I actually found this conversation on the topic so adding it as well https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/office-365/findtime-use-teams-as-default-meeting-option/m-p/1...

@ChristianJBergstrom

Thank you Christian for your reply.

I wasn't aware of findtime. I'll take a look into it

However, I think this is a feature that if existed should come built in and available for all members in any organization. Whatever the degree of maturity on scheduling is right now, this will improve the productivity

OP here, I totally miss the new feature with suggested hours 😞
Please ignore this thread

@MCRSFTUSR Hey, I don't agree that the thread should be ignored as there are more than one way of work. I rarely schedule meetings myself (rather configure them backend or attend) but assume you're talking about "suggested meeting hours" in Outlook or do you simply mean the "suggested time" in Teams? 🙂

Let me just add that the "suggested time" is only available for up to 15 invitees.
