We ran into the same problem.

 

We have about five customers with between 100 to 1000+ users who are currently stuck on the Office 2016 VLSC version due to other circumstances.

 

Is there any way/workaround we can enforce the use of WebView2 or at least Edge Legacy to allow our customers to use our add-in (which is not anymore compatible with Internet Explorer in the newest version)?
