Been a "true" Microsoft user/programmer the last 40+ years - this year brought some new views on customer satisfaction and support management.
Defender started from around 1.1.2022 to change views on the stated limits of sending bulk e-mails. Even within limits, the Defender all by itself started blocking sending accounts - without any pattern.
Escalating this to support, just made the whole experience more interesting, going from an Chinese person contacting us, wanting to "take over our pc-session" .. ehh... NO THANKS! - and moving into the Garfield between supporter, escalating manager and technicians.
After having raised the issue about the Defenders "own life" and the description of the issues (3-4 times to different persons), after 2 months - NO SOLUTIONS WERE FOUND - other than a voucher(!)?
The problem for us is, that we have made a strategic decision that NOT USE 3. PARTY PRODUCTS because of security and back-door restrictions - and therefore we send e-mail to our subscribers ... the Microsoft way - rather the "former"Microsoft way. Because all support want to move us away from Microsoft core products and until other vendors platforms. BUT WE DONT WANT TO - and suddenly the technical teams decision became commercial - for us. We used 2.0 m usd for our product - AND WITHIN limits - the programming team made mistakes in their machine learning algorithm - .....
We send 4.500 e-mails in 5 mails every 5. minute - and THIS IS WITH IN LIMITS - unless we use Microsoft products - and NO ONE takes this seriouse.
The flagging by the machine learnings product - created a tenant blocking suspicion (because they can't se that a bilk mail is not spam!) - and they want to keep this limits (that are not commercial correct!) and just want to solve technical issues with a voucher?
Come on guys - you can do better.....
So a suggestion is, that Microsoft could involve "real" users - in their testing and product developments teams - because we often run into these issues form all venders - Google/Apple etc. - and are very open to help finding the problem with the machine learning issue in Defender.....
Any other having problems with Defender after 1.1.2022 -and blocking sending accounts - let me then tell you that the solution acc. to Microsoft is 1) a voucher og 2) move to a tenant not marked as blocked earlier.....
